Carefree Crete - We started to look for properties in Crete and contacted a few agents around Chania who we emailed to help us find our new home in Crete. From the five we contacted only three came back to us we finally chose Carefree Crete Estate agents as they seemed to be the only ones who from the very start took on board exactly what we wanted to buy. one of the agents were at first very helpful, but seemed to lose interest in us when we didn't go for any of the properties they sorted out for us, we approached Carefree Crete as we liked the presentation of their site, and once we had started to get emails from them we knew we had made the right choice. right from the word go nothing was too much trouble and they always answered emails very promptly, unlike the other agents, who sometimes didn't really seem that bothered if they answered or not. we flew out to crete on 1st may, and were met the next day by Sue and Stuart Weatherhead, they picked us up from our hotel, took us to the first house we were going to view, after which we went for a coffee, then onto the second, and then a third one to view. They had lined up about 10 for us to view over the first two days we were there but to their and our amazement we had gone for property number 2 that they had shown us, it was exactly what we were looking for, so they still went on to show us some more but we had made our minds up this villa did feel right. so we bouight it, Sue and Stuart then spent the next few days taking us to the lawyer notary office arranged for our bank accounts to be opened and all the other bits you have to do. Throughout the whole process they were the most patient understanding and totally organised people you could wish to do business with. Nothing was too much trouble for them, they never rushed us or in the beginning tried to show us properties over our budget or in areas we didn't want they just seemed to know exactly what we wanted, they certainly live up to their name, Carefree Crete and thats cetainly what it was for us they made the whole process seem so straightforward explaining things if we looked a bit bewildered at times, they certainly made us feel at home and notjhing was too much trouble at any time, we thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and i can strongly recommend them if you want a proffessional but friendly agent here in chania, we are going out again in june for our holiday with friends, we shall move to Crete in august and are looking forward to seeing Sue and Stuart again, we have already given their email and phone numer to a few friends and people we spoke to in crete when we were there in may. we really were so pleased with their assistance in purchasing our villa, also they gave honest and friendly advice on so many questions we put to them, they shall definately become friends of ours when we move in August. a big thank you to them both. |
